Introduction to physical illness

Physical illness problems can be called triggers to mental health problems and vice versa. Physical illness problems can be called problems to any body system treated by medications but cannot be treated completely. Physical illness can be primary or secondary. Primary physical illness is because of the root cause of disease. A secondary condition is a type of illness due to a prior illness. A lack of nutrition may cause secondary infection. Cold is a primary illness, and it can lead to a secondary disease called rhinitis.

Common physical illnesses

The most common physical help illnesses in the United States are; Heart disease: affects heart and blood vessels. Heart diseases include heart attack, heart failure, valve diseases, unstable angina, and inherited heart diseases. Cancer is when uncontrollable growth and cell spreads to other body parts. Obesity: excessive accumulation of fats that are harmful to our body. A person’s normal BMI (body mass index) must be between 18.5 to 24.5. BMI over 25 is considered obese. Diabetes: rise in blood glucose levels in the human body leads to a life-threatening disease. Headache: is the type of disorder today commonly found in persons of all ages. It is most widely called pain in the area of the head. It can be primary or secondary in type.

Respiratory Disorders

Problems or infections in the respiratory tract cause respiratory disorders. These are the most common disorders and also the types of respiratory infections. This is most common causes are smoking and tobacco and air pollution or another chemical. Respiratory disorders can be of two types infectious and chronic. Pulmonary infections are commonly bacterial or sometimes can be viral. In the viral condition, a pathogen copies by remaining inside the cell, causing diseases like the flu. But in chronic infections, there can be a long-lasting illness like asthma.

Muscular system disorders 

Studies have shown that almost 1.7 billion people have musculoskeletal disorders Worldwide. Muscular skeletal disorders can be injuries or disorders of different muscles, joints, and tendons. It can be caused by sudden force and repetitive motion. This condition increases with age. Disorders affect muscles, nerves, tendons, and all joints in the upper and lower back. The most common types of muscular skeletal disorders are ligament sprain, tendonitis, tension neck syndrome, and thoracic outlet compression. These disorders can cause disability to a person. These disorders can be treated through physical therapy and exercise. It can stand in bonds and prevent them from fractures.

Gastrointestinal disorders

These disorders affect our gastrointestinal system, starting from the mouth and ending at the anus. Any person suffering from this disorder, narrow stool, unusual abdominal gas, anaemia, change in bowel habits, and unexplained weight loss can be seen in the type of person with this disorder. Major gastrointestinal disorders are polyps, Crohn’s disease, and intestinal ischemia. Gastrointestinal disorders can be due to stress, no routine of daily activities, or it can also be caused by eating more dairy products and a diet low in fibre. It can be treated by drinking plenty of water and resting daily.

Infectious diseases are caused by minute organisms that cannot be seen by the human naked eye, including viruses, bacteria, and parasites. Clinical manifestations of contagious disorders may differ from person to person and the kind of infection the person catches. Infectious diseases can be hazardous to a person’s life; the most dangerous contagious disease is covid-19, which can be a significant enemy of a person’s life. Anti-viral for viral infections and anti-bacterial for bacterial infections can considerably protect against infectious diseases.

Neurological Diseases

The neurological illness affects our brain and the nerves in the body. It can also be said that this brain and nervous system function causes it. Clinical symptoms for neurological diseases may include trouble breathing, disorientation, migraines, muscle stiffness, and other symptoms. Part causes physical and psychological problems because the neurological system is the system inside the brain, affecting our mental health. Some neurological abnormalities are present at birth, but some can be caused by trauma or illness. Medication or deep brain stimulation can be used to treat certain conditions.

Metabolic and Endocrine disorders

These are the types of disorders in which the level of hormones in the body increases or decreases from Normal levels. The body has 9 to 10 glands that secrete different kinds of secretions. This can be caused by the insufficiency of some glands, or it can also because by trauma to the specific gland that is the cause of the disease. Fatigue, mood swings, and weakness are signs of endocrine disorders. These disorders can be treated by medications or by levelling the expected levels of hormones in the body by treating symptoms.

Cardiovascular disorders

Cardiovascular disorders the diseases of the heart or blood vessels. The blood flow all over the body is disrupted and causes many problems. The most common infections are arrhythmias, CAD, and heart valve complications. Medications and specific surgeries can treat cardiovascular conditions. Any kind of physical illness can be hazardous for our bodies. To get rid of these biological disorders, we must engage regularly. It is difficult to cure a disease once it has taken root in the human body. Complete physical health means sleeping well, being physically active, and having enough relaxation. Physically busy people have strong muscles, improved brain health, and reduced rate of risk of diseases.
